IRVING, Texas (AP)—Cowboys cornerback Mike Jenkins(notes), tight end Jason Witten(notes) and receiver Dez Bryant(notes) have been limited in practice because of injuries, but are expected to play Sunday against Houston.
Nose tackle Jay Ratliff(notes) also was absent Wednesday football jerseys
because he went to be with family following the death of his grandparents last week. He is expected to return Friday and should play against the Texans.
Coach Wade Phillips said Jenkins only has a bruised knee. Witten is recovering from a head injury that Phillips said may be less serious than the club initially thought.
Bryant has a ribs problem sustained in the opener.
Rookie offensive tackle Sam Young(notes) practiced for the first time in the regular season. He’s been recovering from a knee injury.

The Texans announced the signing of OT Ephraim Salaam(notes) on Wednesday. Salaam's signing comes one day after Duane Brown(notes) was suspended for violating the NFL's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
Salaam likely will back up Rashad Butler(notes), who will start in Brown's place Sunday vs. Dallas.
Salaam, 34, made 30 starts at left tackle for Houston from 2006-07. He appeared in 13 games with Houston as a reserve in '08. He played five games with Detroit in 2009. The Lions released him on Dec. 7, 2009, and the Texans signed him 15 days later. He did not appear in a game with Houston last season.
